The Bond Process:Arrest to Release
The bail bond process begins with the arrest of a suspect or defendant. In North Carolina, individuals are subject to arrest for a number of different reasons. These can include:
Spousal Abuse/Domestic Violence
Failure to Appear in Court
Possession of Drugs or Paraphernalia
The defendant is brought to the local jail following the arrest, where the accused is processed and then presented to a Judge ( or magistrate).
