The streets of North Carolina just became that little bit safer.
After a ten month investigation, involving numerous federal, regional, and even state law enforcement agencies, the case has been cracked. A drug ring that was circulating methamphetamine, heroine, cocaine and marijuana, along with approximately half a million dollars in cash.
The drug bust may not be the largest in the state’s history, but it certainly came with a hefty bond on those that were arrested.
What started out as a simple investigation into a man’s drug possession quickly escalated. By the end, the investigation, the reaches of the group’s drug trade had reached the whole east coast.
Ten individuals were implicated in the drug bust, with seven arrests already having been made. Three fugitives are still to be apprehended, but their details are known and have been released to the media.
The bust helps in the state’s fight against the rising number of fatal drug overdoses.
All seven of the felons arrested as a result of the bust have since been held on bail. The total value of which across the group is ten million dollars.

The drug bust came into being after police became suspicious of Jamie Leonard Tate. This, in turn, led them to his primary associate Dwayne Bullock. The pair was watched at the property on 100 Stacy Farm Road.
This was back in July 2016. Since then a combined agency task force has been gathering evidence that finally allowed the bust to be made on April 18th.
